Obituary

                                  Sherry Fran Mandelbaum
                                        1955-2020

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sherry Fran Shalamas Mandelbaum who left us on May 31, 2020.
Sherry was 65 years old,  born on January 18, 1955. She lived most of her life in Brooklyn, NY and in Tucson, AZ. She also spent time living in Oswego and Syracuse, NY.
Sherry was predeceased by her father Irving Mandelbaum,  mother Irene Mandelbaum, and brother Marty Mandelbaum.
Sherry worked on Wall Street for many years and was known as one of the quickest and most accurate order clerks in NYC. She always signed her orders with her initials SFM. When NYSE floor clerks would ask what the letters stood for, she would proudly tell them "Some Foxy Mama!"
Sherry eventually relocated with her parents to Tucson, AZ. Life was not always easy for Sherry. She worked very hard to overcome her heartbreak of losing her family. After much hard work on healing from the crushing hurts she endured in her life, she found peace and happiness through art. Sherry became quite an established artist. She specialized in ink art and her artwork was known in the Tucson, AZ community as Ink Art by Sherry M.
Throughout her life, Sherry kept her tough Brooklyn attitude, her fun sense of humor, and took much joy from all kinds of music. She was an avid lover of animals both wild and domesticated. Some might even say she had cared more about animals than she did most people she met. Sherry may have sped down most roads, but she always carried water and food in her trunk for any stray cats she spotted along the way. The world was a much better place with her in it.
Sherry will be forever missed by her partner Jim Bollinger, her cat Sasha and dog Furby, her nephew Tayler and her life long friends Audrey-NYC, Deb- TUC, Linda-CNY, and Linda-FL. We love you deeply Sherry and your memory lives on in our fond memories and our enduring love for you. Until we meet again, may you feel our love as you joyfully fly above on the wings of angels .
