Obituary


Laura A. Strasburg 54,  a resident of Oswego passed away on December 20, 2022, at her home. 
Born in Butler, N.J., She was a daughter of Dolores Haase Smith of Oswego and the late John Martin Wetzel and was a graduate of the Butler High School in N.J.
She was formerly employed with the Daycare Center at SUNY Oswego.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, bird-watching, and gardening.
She is survived by her mother Dolores, her husband of 29 years, Brian Strasburg, their children, Susan Figaro of Oswego, Melanie (Pierre Thurston) Mitchell of North Carolina, Jesse Strasburg of Oswego, three grandchildren, Madeleine Thurston, Aidan Weiss, and Liam Weiss, brothers, Roy (Theresa) Wetzel of Fulton, Jack Wetzel of Oswego, David Wetzel of Oklahoma, sisters, Patricia Mateer of Oswego, and many loved nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased in death by her brother, Wayne Anderson, and loving stepfather, Jim Smith.
Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3:00-5:00.
