Helen L. Hoey, 77, a resident of Oswego passed away on January 27 at the Oswego Hospital surrounded by her family.
Born in Oswego, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Kief) Thompson and had attended Oswego schools.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, watching Yankee games and loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, James “Chubby” Hoey; three children, John (Amy) Hoey of Florida, Cathi Hoey of Oswego and Shane (Aimee) Hoey of Mexico; a sister, Margaret Magnante of Oswego; one brother, Larry Thompson of New York City; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son, Jamie Hoey; her sister, Rose Anne Dexter; and a brother, Charles Thompson.
A memorial funeral mass will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. from St. Paul’s Church.
There are no calling hours.
