Alice Burnett Obituary



Alice L. Burnett, 80, a resident of Granby passed away on April 18 at the Oswego Hospital.
Born in Fulton, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Lela (Closs) Darling and had attended Hannibal schools.
She ran the Greenleaf Farm Stand until her second husband, Edward Greenleaf passed away.
She enjoyed crafts, reading, baking and doing puzzles.
Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Robert Burnett, a daughter, Donna Ingersoll of Mexico, five sons, Howard  (Burnetta) Bennett of Oswego, Kenneth (Richard) Greenleaf of Liverpool, Scott (Rosie) Greenleaf of Liverpool, Fred (Gina) Greenleaf of Kirkville, Robert (Melanie) Burnett of Oswego,daughter-in-law, Karen Bennett of Mexico, two sisters, Ruth Bryant of Virginia, Irene Worden of Syracuse, two brothers, Daniel Darling of Fulton, William Worden of Syracuse, three stepdaughters, Betty Reed of Parish, Rose Sixberry of Fulton, Elva Greenleaf of Syracuse, a stepson, Edward Greenleaf of Baltimore, 24 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was predeceased by her son, George E. Bennett Sr., two sisters, Virginia Hotaling, Diane Carroll and three brothers, Kenneth, Lester and Richard Darling.
Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00-6:00 with a service to follow the hours.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
