Robert Hutchinson Obituary


  Robert E. Hutchinson, 87, a resident of the Oswego area passed away on June 26 at his home.
  Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late William and Myrtle (Root) Hutchinson and had attended Oswego schools.
  He was employed with the New York State Transportation Department.
  Mr. Hutchinson was a veteran of the Army Air Force serving in the Korean Conflict. He also served in the Army reserves.
  He was an avid woodworker who enjoyed spending time with his dogs.
  Surviving are his children, Steven (Chrissy) Hutchinson of Minetto, Christine Hollister of Baldwinsville, step children, Katherine (Michael) Bonner of Oswego and Terry Hayslip of Houston, Texas, two grandchildren, Steven Jr. and Samatha, two great grandchildren, Cruz and Canello, step grandchildren, Josh McDonald, Christopher Bonner, Elizabeth Bonner, Emily Dean and Casey Hayslip, his longtime companion, Dorothy Loomis and her children, Pamela (Leo) Cristiano of Northville, JoAnn Collett of Oswego, Shirley (Tim) Hammond of Oswego and James (Amelia) Loomis of Oswego and nieces and nephews.
   He was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine Hofer Hutchinson and siblings, William Hutchinson, Mary Alice Kielb,  Jean Bellardini and Patricia Terpening.
   Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home of Friday from 4:00-6:00 with a service to follow the hours.
   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Oswego County Hospice, PO Box 102, Oswego N.Y. 13126 or the DAV, 344 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY  13202.
