Patrick J. Kavanaugh, 66, a resident of Oswego passed away on September 17 at the St.Joseph's
Hospital in Syracuse.
Born in Syracuse, he was a son of the late Francis Kavanaugh and Laura Jeanne (Bradley)
Kavanaugh of Oswego.
He was employed with Amedio's Trucking for many years.
He was a member of the Sons of the Civil War, American Legion #268, VFW #5885 and the
Ancient Order of the Hibernians.
Mr. Kavanaugh was well known for having a coffee in his hand and a smile on his face while
making his daily crossings over the Utica Street Bridge.
Surviving besides his mother are his brother, Clifford Kavanaugh of Oswego, three sisters,
Georgeanna Kavanaugh of Tuscon, Arizona, Roxanna (Tom) Gillen of Oswego, Jeanne (Dan)
Wayman of Oswego, nieces,nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.
There are no calling hours.
Arrangements are in care of the Dowdle Funeral Home.
