Jan Louis Obituary


   Jan W. Louis, 67, a resident of the Oswego area passed away on March 3 at the Oswego Hospital.
   Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late Drew and Betty (Van Deusen) Louis and was a graduate of the Oswego High School.
    He was employed by Papertronics, Miller Brewing Company and Birdseye Foods.
    Jan was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
    His hobbies included hunting, fishing and clock dial restoration.
    Jan is survived by his son, Jeremy (Wendy) Louis of Tampa, a daughter, Bobbi Jo (Melissa) Louis of Oswego, the love of his life and wife of many years, Julie Louis. Also, two sisters, Connie Avery of Central Square, Laurie Fellows of Fulton, two brothers, Michael (Marie) Louis of Fulton, Jeff Louis of Syracuse, three grandsons Sammy Mays, Max Mays and Gavin Louis, His longtime companion, Greta Amico, her three daughters, Cindee, Jenny, Joanne and 7 grandchildren among whom are Morgan, Derek and Catalina.
    He was predeceased by his sister, Toni Pelkey Clark and his brother, George Louis.
   Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 - 7:00 with a service to follow the hours.
  Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
