 HARRY J. HARE JR.

 Harry was born in Oswego on November 10, 1934 to the late Harry J. Hare Sr. and Dorothy (Waters) Hare. Harry Sr. and Dorothy also had three daughters,Lorraine (Jodway), Jean (Phillips) and Patricia (Paugh).
 He married his beloved and cherished wife Shirley (Kingsbury) on February 13, 1954 and had five children: Harry III (Elaine King), Cynthia (David Fresch), Daniel (Mary Jo Natoli), Ruth (Wade Kline) and Kathleen (DuBois). They have thirteen grandchildren: Jeremiah (Raquel) Hare, Stephanie (Nicholas)Wexler, Karilyn (Joseph) Hotchkiss, Jerrod (Rachel) Calkins, Tara Fresch, Alena Fresch, Daniel Hare Jr.,Douglas (Sherri) Hare, Bethany (Josh) Burgess, Wade Kline III, Rachael Kline (Matthew Bonville), Mitchell DuBois and Cole DuBois and nineteen great grandchildren.
 He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Lorraine and Jean and his eldest son Harry III (Skip) in 2012.
 He attended several Oswego elementary schools and graduated from Oswego High School in 1953.
 He was employed at Sealright Co. from 1953 to 1968 as an Artist. He changed careers moving to Ross Paper Machine Company as a Draftsman until 1973 when he joined The Black Clawson Company and retired after 27 years as a Senior Mechanical Designer (Engineer).
 He was a photographer doing many candid weddings for newlyweds around Oswego and Fulton.
He also acted as band photographer for the Oswego High School Marching Buccaneers traveling to area band contests while using 3 cameras to achieve a panoramic view. He also documented their travels with trips to Disney World, Mexico City, Mexico and the Orange Bowl Parade.
 Harry was very sports minded playing softball during his years at Sealright to being a member of the Scriba Vols Basketball team playing in the City League. He bowled with teams at Sealright Lanes,Lakeview Lanes and the Oswego teams at the Capitol, D.A. Lanes and Pinarama Alleys.
He golfed in a league at Palermo with teams from Black Clawson. After retirement he played golf with the Seniors at Griffins Greens and took over as Secretary/ Treasurer 2001- 2007.
He hunted for many years and taught his sons how to handle guns and hunted Cottontail and Snowshoe rabbits with them and their dogs, Duke and Major. He still enjoyed target shooting to this day with his pistols, revolver and rifle.
He was a member of various organizations over the years including: The Deerslayers Bowman’s Association , Oswego Tennis Club, Fulton and Oswego Bowling Association, Leatherstocking Club, Fulton Amateur Radio Club, The Elks Club, NYS Horseshoe Pitchers Association, Syracuse Pioneer Horseshoe Club and the Clearwater Florida Horseshoe Club. He attended the Oswego Alliance Church.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 from the Oswego Alliance Church.
Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00-7:00.
