Gaylord J. Sawyer

Gaylord J. Sawyer, 85, a resident of Oswego passed away on March 14, 2024, with his family by his side.

Born in Fulton, Gaylord was a son of the late Harold and Eleitha (Fadden) Sawyer and was a graduate of Mexico Academy and Central School.

 He was a founding partner of Pathfinder Industries in Fulton and Acro-Fab Ltd. in Hannibal. 

He was an avid radio-controlled airplane builder and flyer, model train enthusiast and loved baseball.

Surviving are his wife of twenty-one years, the former, Nancy Abare, five children, Douglas (Deborah Herrington) Sawyer of Connecticut, Kathleen (Greg) Dean of Florida, Scott (Karen) Sawyer of Connecticut, Amy (Dave) Jermyn of Oswego, Emily (Brad)Mullen of Liverpool, brother, David Sawyer of North Carolina, eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Rachelle Sawyer and two dogs, Sara and Buddy2.

 He was predeceased by his brother, Francis Sawyer.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
There are no calling hours.
