James H. Fantom

James H. Fantom, 83, a resident of Oswego passed away on July 30 at the Morningstar Care Center in Oswego.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late James and Helen (Schaffer) Fantom and was a graduate of the Oswego High School.
He was employed with the Brenaman's Shade Factory and Riverside Cemetery. He also worked the shutdowns at Nine Mile.
Mr. Fantom was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He was a member of the VFW #5885.
Surviving are two daughters, Cathy Mills and Diane Fitzgerald both of Oswego, two sons, John Fantom of Florida, Robert Fantom of Syracuse, a sister, Peggy (Robert) Smith of Oswego, a brother, Thomas (Shelia) Fantom of Oswego. several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Diane Fantom, three sons, James, William and David Fantom and a sister, Katherine Haynes.
Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.
There are no calling hours.
