The Dowdle Funeral Home is a family owned and operated traditional funeral home. Founded in 1953 by Edward J. "Bud" Dowdle, our funeral home has since served the people of Oswego and the surrounding communities. Well known as the "home-like funeral home", our facilities provide the people we serve with an atmosphere of comfort and serenity.Bud lived in Oswego his whole life except while serving his country in the Army Air Force during World War II. He was one of the finest golfers to ever represent the Oswego area. He, along with his wife, the former Margaret Stone, owned and operated the funeral home until Bud's death in 1992.The family tradition started in 1953 still carries on today.
